El proyecto en solitario de Pelikan13 ha acabado cumpliendo su objetivo de lograr fondos mediante la financiación en masa (si queréis aportar aún estáis a tiempo), y además ha encontrando un asociado para la producción de su juego en la empresa Nicalis.
The 90’s Arcade Racer, como su explicativo nombre indica, viene a ser un homenaje a aquellas recreativas que hicieron que el autor se dejara el sueldo en ellas, concretamente asegura que “las tres recreativas que más dinero me quitaron fueron Scud Race, Daytona USA e Indy 500“. El proyecto tiene como objetivo actualizar el estilo de juego y los aspectos visuales pero conservando las mecánicas que encadilaron a Pelikan13.
El título será lanzado en Noviembre de este año en PC (Windows, Linux y MacOS), iOS, Android y WiiU. Os dejamos con el tráiler tras estas líneas.
Me alegro que los fans d estos juegos puedan volver a disfrutarlos renovados, pero creo que una parte importante de el atractivo de estos arcades fue el hardware, esas butacas de competición con los parlantes detrás de la cabeza, pura inmersión, eso no se réplicas en una consola
