Analizar Tomodachi Life es un verdadero reto. Bueno, sinceramente sería un verdadero reto si aquí, en esta santa casa, tuviéramos que ponerle notas a los videojuegos, como pasa en unas cuantas. Y el reto viene, no porque el juego tenga unos gráficos o sonidos difícilmente puntuables, sino porque es, como videojuego, algo extraño. Para que nos entendamos, viene a ser un Los Sims «a la Nintendo», o un Animal Crossing donde los protagonistas son humanos si lo preferís. No en vano la palabra «tomodachi» significa amigo en japonés, y en este juego la gracia es esa, meter a tus amigos, y disfrutar de una vida paralela.
En Tomodachi Life empiezas por hacer tu personaje, algo que puede incluir hacerte fotos a ti mismo y luego retocarlo un poco para dejarlo “al gusto Mii”, y posteriormente te puedes poner a añadir otros personajes. Personalmente, servidor hizo a su personaje y un par más, pero luego puedes añadir a otros personajes de varias maneras (compartiendolo con alguien cercano o usando un QR, entre otras opciones). Una vez ya tenemos unos pocos personajes, podemos empezar a disfrutar del juego.
Lo cierto es que no estamos hablando de un título donde debamos darnos una panzada de jugar, sino más bien una curiosidad que podemos abrir cada cierto tiempo, y que siempre puede darnos una sorpresa. Yo he optado por aparecer con cierta frecuencia por su mundo y os puedo decir que la experiencia es bastante satisfactoria. Pero también puedo intuir que si alguien se enfrenta a Tomodachi Life como si fuera un videojuego común es posible que se quede “sin juego” en poco tiempo. Y es que una vez hayamos creado esta base con la que jugar veremos a nuestro mapa (al principio casi vacío) y nuestros personajes. Conforme vayamos realizando acciones, algo que es muy intuitivo y ágil, se irán desbloqueando lugares, los cuales nos permiten realizar más acciones, usar otros objetos, etc. Y a pesar de todas estas cosas que podemos hacer mientras tenemos el juego abierto, lo realmente gracioso de este título, a mi entender, es lo que pasa cuando NO lo jugamos. Cuando sencillamente, el juego nos va sorprendiendo con momentos en los que sin tener que realizar acciones por nosotros mismos, nos encontramos con noticias graciosas o situaciones inesperadas gracias a lo que los mismos personajes van haciendo por si mismos.
Incluso podemos ver cómo a uno de nuestros personajes le da por hacer una noticia con lo que hacen tres de los otros en el informativo de la televisión local. Noticias a menudo sorprendentes, que nos hacen sacar una sonrisa, y que demuestran el gran trabajo en cuando a posibilidades, combinatoria y frescura que ha aportado Nintendo.
Además, existen otras posibilidades interactivas. Hay minijuegos. Hay regalitos y premios que aparecen ante eventos. Hay muchas interacciones distintas posibles. Pero Tomodachi Life, con todo esto, mas que un juego que tomarse en serio y disfrutar de una o varias maneras, es un verdadero entretenimiento en forma de aplicación que abrimos, disfrutamos cinco minutos, nos echamos unas risas, compartimos con nuestros amigos, y cerramos para poder seguir con nuestras tristes y grises vidas. Y como les aporta más color, creo que es algo realmente recomendable, a pesar de no ser un «videojuego puro».
