Durante el estudio, 49 adultos probaron el juego y tras únicamente dos horas lograron extraer suficiente información de los mensajes como para poder avanzar en el juego. Según los creadores de la prueba, este método emula la respuesta de los infantes de un modo más efectivo que otras pruebas. Además, se asume que podría ser usado en el estudio clínico de la dislexia. Uno de los colaboradores del proyecto en Carnegie Mellon, Lori Holt, expresó lo siguiente:
Tradicionalmente, el cuando estudiamos en el laboratorio el aprendizaje de los adultos no tiene nada que ver con como los infantes aprenden el lenguaje, […] Este videojuego tiende puentes entre las dos poblaciones — bebés y adultos — modelando un reto para los adultos similar al que supone el aprendizaje del lenguaje para los infantes.
Los resultados completos del estudio serán presentados el próximo 27 de mayo en en próximo encuentro de la Acoustical Society of America. A titulo personal creo que estos resultados, además de suponer un avance científico, correctamente aplicados podrían mejorar sustancialmente los métodos de aprendizaje en los sistemas de juego o las nuevas mecánicas. Y así, mientras lloramos la pérdida de los manuales tal vez podríamos olvidarnos también de los tutoriales evidentes y molestos que castran algunos de los juegos de la actualidad. Puede que incluso volviese a ser rentable producir juegos educativos.
